Every Child's Safe & Special Place

Only children of the appropriate age group and trained leaders are allowed into the children's rooms. Parents are not allowed. This may seem a little weird, but while your own children know you and feel comfortable around you, other children may not. We want to ensure that this is a safe, comfortable, and inviting space for the children it is designed for. You are welcome to observe from the outside, but please don't tap on the glass or do anything to try to get your child's attention during their worship time. We believe that each child's own process of worship and experience with God is just as important and valuable as any other.

Before any leader can be involved in our children's ministry, he or she undergoes a criminal background check, completes a minimum of 10 weeks training, and has been a part of our local congregation for at least 6 months. Your child's safety is very important to us. Our program is designed to offer children a meaningful introduction to Jesus, then allow them to explore their own ideas about God in a carefully developed program called Godly Play.

Everyone involved in leadership at Ignite Hope is required to complete Child-Parent-Relational-Training (CPRT). We've figured out that learning how to listen and support one another is a skill that everyone needs. But relational training is not something that a lot of people have focused on. That's why it is so important that positive relationship building is built and modeled throughout our community: and children can see how important it is because they can see adults treating each other exactly the same way.
